چکیده

Changes in platelet a2 adrenoreceptors and their relation to plasma catecholamine concentrations were studied in 11 patients with acute transmural myocardial infarction. A radiolabelled a2 adrenoreceptor antagonist, [3H]-yohimbine, was used to assay x2 adrenoreceptors on platelet membranes, and plasma catecholamine concentrations were measured by high performance liquid chromatography. The number of platelet a2 adrenoreceptors, the dissociation constant, and plasma noradrenaline and adrenaline concentrations were studied 6-6 (3 3) (mean (SD)) hours after the onset of acute myocardial infarction and one month later. The mean (SD) number of adrenoreceptors increased significantly from 94'5 (50'5) fmol/mg protein immediately after infarction to 157-0 (65 7) fmol/mg protein one month later. The dissociation constant, however, did not change significantly (4 33 (1-40) nmol/l vs 437 (1-22) nmol/l). Raised noradrenaline (5-60 (4 37) nmol/l) and adrenaline (0-28 (0 14) nmol/l) concentrations had fallen significantly to normal values (1 21 (0 67) and 0 09 (0 05) nmol/l respectively) a month after infarction. The decrease in the number of a2 adrenoreceptors soon after infarction may be beneficial because such a change will reduce the strength of various reactions to catecholamines, such as vasoconstriction.

study of platelet parameters in the patients with acute myocardial infarction referred to Ali Shariati Hospital in 2018

Introdution: The rapid and accurate diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction is essential for effective treatment. Recently, troponin has been introduced as a biochemical marker for early diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction. Platelet parameters (P-LCR, MPV, PDW) play a key role in the pathophysiology of acute coronary syndrome. The aim of this study was to evaluate platelet indexes in the ...

ارتباط پلی‎مرفیسم T13254C گلیکوپروتئین VI پلاکتی با سکته حاد قلبی زودرس

Background and Aim: Myocardial infarction (MI) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Epidemiological studies indicate that MI results from complex interactions between long-term environmental influences, concomitant disorders, and genetic susceptibility factors. Identification of genetic risk factors, particularly in premature MI, is very important. Since thrombosis plays a cri...

Relation of opium addiction with the severity and extension of myocardial infarction and its related mortality

Background: Despite some evidences about protective or triggering role of opium use in patients with coronary artery disease, the exact role of opium is still under question. The current study aimed to address the relation of opium dependence on the severity and extension of myocardial infarction (MI) and its related mortality. Methods: The study population consisted of 460 consecutive patients...

Molecular Study of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Gene in Iranian Patients after Myocardial Infarction

Background: Stimulation of collateral artery growth (arteriogenesis) and/or capillary network growth (angiogenesis) would be beneficial to the patients with myocardial infarction. To understand the central role of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in biological angiogenesis, we performed molecular analysis of the VEGF gene in patients afflicted with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Me...

بررسی سطح پلاسمایی مالون دی آلدئید ، تروپونین قلبیI و پروتئین واکنشگر C در مبتلایان به بیماریهای عروق کرونر حاد

Introduction & Objective: Ischemic injury of endothelium is associated with prostaglandin synthesis and platelet adhesion and aggregation, which may be associated with the release of aldehydes such as malondialdehyde (MDA). C-reactive protein and cardiac troponin I have been proposed as diagnostic markers of acute coronary syndromes. In this study, we compared the usefulness of plasma MDA as a ...
